As I was browsing at Michael’s hobby shop I saw this wooden skeleton and I thought it would make a great decoration for my front door for Halloween.

Hot glue large lima and baby lima beans to skeleton. I also used navy beans for the smaller areas. Think about where you are going to place the beans. The large limas make great teeth! I also used the large limas for the long bones in the arms and legs. The baby limas made great toes and navy beans were used for the fingers.

Bones5

I spray painted the skeleton ivory to make it more bone like.

Search your local thrift store for picture frames. I really wanted to get something more ornate, but couldn’t find what I was looking for so I ended up with this frame for $1.

Bones6

I distressed the frame with some paint I had. I just got a rag and wiped the paint on and then took it off. I used an ivory shade an touches of yellow.

Bones7

I hot glued the skeleton to the frame and glued some black silk roses to the corners. I added the ribbon to hang it up.

I think it turned out really cute…don’t you?
