The idea for this wreath came from Pinterest. Pinterest is a great source of inspiration for food, craft, and decorating ideas. If you haven’t used Pinterest check it out, but be careful…it can be addicting!  On Pinterest you create boards, almost like visual bulletin boards where you “pin” items, recipes, pages, websites, etc. Look for the Pinterest_Logo_Red link when you are surfing the web so you can easily “pin” recipes and ideas to your boards. Calbeans.org has the Pinterest link on all our recipes and blogs for easy pinning to your boards. Follow California Beans on Pinterest for crafting ideas using beans.

Wreath completely covered and painted with white paint. I didn’t like this so I painted it with a color called latte.

A burlap bow completes the wreath.

Hot glue strings looked like spider webs all over the table I was working at while making this wreath. A good tip when working with a hot glue gun is to keep a bowl of ice water close by to put burned fingers in.   Hard as you try not to burn yourself it is inevitable to at least burn your fingers once if not more!

A recent search for lima bean wreaths on Pinterest yielded a great candy corn inspired wreath from the blog Skip to My Lou.

Skip to My Lou used a straw wreath, which is a great idea! If you use straw you probably wouldn’t have to paint the wreath. I painted it to cover the green that was peeking through in-between the beans. It still turned out great and the wreath looks wonderful on my front door.
