Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. dried large limas

  • 3 1/2 oz. ketchup

  • 2 1/4 oz. BBQ sauce (I used original KC Masterpiece)

  • 3/4 onion chopped

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 6 slices bacon chopped, optional

  • Tabasco to taste

  • Granulated garlic to taste

  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Soak beans in water overnight or use the hot soak method.

Rinse and put in pot covered with water. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours just until tender.

Cook onions and bacon til onion is translucent and bacon is cooked.

Add butter, onion and bacon, catsup, BBQ sauce, Tabasco, granulated garlic, salt & pepper.

Cook 1 hour longer.
